Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how Avaud LLC, doing business as LocalBizBot (“LocalBizBot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you use our website and our chatbot service (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
Who this policy covers
This policy covers two groups:
- Our customers. The business owners who sign up for LocalBizBot.
- Website visitors. The people who chat with a bot on one of our customers’ websites.
When a visitor chats with a bot on your site, we handle that information on your behalf. You, the business owner, decide what your bot does with it. If you are a visitor and have a question about your data, please contact the business whose site you were on.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email, business details, and login information.
- Payment information. Payments are processed securely by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. We do not store your full card number. We keep basic billing records such as your plan and payment status.
- Your website content. We read and store the content of the website pages you point us to, so we can train and run your bot.
- Chatbot conversations. We store the conversations between your bot and your visitors, including any name and phone number a visitor gives, so you can review them in your dashboard and follow up on leads.
- Support messages. If you email us or fill out a form, we keep that message so we can help you.
- Technical and usage data. Like most online services, we collect basic technical information such as browser type, device, and general location, and how the Service is used, to keep it running and secure.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Set up, train, and run your chatbot.
- Provide your dashboard, chat logs, and lead notifications.
- Process payments and manage your account.
- Send you account, billing, and support messages.
- Keep the Service secure, fix problems, and improve how it works.
- Meet our legal and tax obligations.
Chatbot conversations and your customers’ data
Conversations between your bot and your visitors are stored so you can see them in your dashboard. These conversations are kept private to your business. We do not sell customer data, and we do not share one customer’s data with another customer. Your bot runs on its own isolated setup so your data stays separate from other businesses on LocalBizBot.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these ways:
- Service providers. We use trusted providers to run the Service, such as payment processing (Lemon Squeezy), cloud hosting and databases, AI model providers that generate the bot’s answers, email delivery for reports and lead alerts, and, if you use SMS, a text messaging provider. They may only use the data to do their job for us.
- Legal reasons. We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
- Business transfer. If our business is sold or merged, information may transfer as part of that deal. We will let you know if that changes how your data is handled.
Text messaging and your data
If you use the SMS add-on, we and our messaging provider process the texts sent to and from your dedicated number so the bot can answer and capture leads. No mobile information or SMS opt-in consent is shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Message and data rates may apply to people who text your number.
How long we keep information
We keep your account information and your chatbot data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we may keep some information for a reasonable period to meet legal, tax, and record-keeping needs, and then delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your account data sooner (see “Your choices” below).
How we protect information
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of storing or sending data online is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we work to keep your data safe.
Your choices
- Access and correction. You can view and update much of your account information from your dashboard, or ask us for help.
- Deletion. You can ask us to delete your account information by emailing support@localbizbot.com. Canceling your plan turns off your bot and stops further processing for it.
- Email preferences. You can opt out of non-essential emails. We may still send you important account and billing messages.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of your personal information. To make a request, email us and we will respond as the law requires. We will not treat you unfairly for exercising these rights.
Your visitors’ rights
Because we handle chat data on behalf of our customers, a visitor who wants to access or delete their data should contact the business whose website they used. We will help that business respond to the request.
Cookies and similar technology
Our website and the chat widget may use cookies or similar local storage to keep the chat working, remember basic settings, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Turning some off may affect how the chat works.
Children’s privacy
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child gave us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Where we operate
LocalBizBot is based in the United States, and our providers may process data in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed here.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top, and for meaningful changes we will let you know by email or on the site. If you keep using the Service after a change, that means you accept the updated policy.
